Do you support art and culture in our community? From gallery exhibitions to school lessons to community programs and special events, Cedarhurst offers diverse programming to serve the diverse audiences in southern Illinois.
We are a first-rate, nationally accredited museum, but we need your help to keep us that way. Every year, Cedarhurst must raise over $700,000 to provide programs that inspire all ages.
As a nonprofit organization, we seek the help of regional businesses and individuals to support these efforts and help offset our costs. Support Cedarhurst's 2017 programs by making a donation today!
Giving through Art - Learning throught Art. This unique and elegant benefit combines the talents of two organizations to raise money for The Arts in southern Illinois. Proceeds will be split between Cedarhurst Center for the Arts and SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation.
Funds raised will be used to renovate Cedarhurst's Beck Family Center. The interactive learning center - one of the most utilized spaces at Cedarhurst - educates children of all ages and inspires creativity, helping our youth build self-confidence and develop critical thinking skills.
SSM will develop programs that focus on the heart and soul of patients with art, music and pet therapies.
Show your ARTrageous generosity with a donation to The GALA.
Family Center Makeover
Cedarhurst needs your help to revitalize its interactive family education center! Museum staff have been working with Chicago's RedBox Workshop design company, and the result is a $125,000 makeover that revitalizes the entire space.
Family center favorites like the lego mosaic and weaving wall will be enhanced, while new activities like a curating station and collaborative sculpture provide new fun and creative challenges. The redesign focuses on open-ended activities that will bring back visitors by giving them fresh experiences on every visit. The popular tree will stay, the center of a new Storytime Glen reading area with more room for books and rolling hill benches that invite family reading.
Donate and help fund this exciting redesign that will serve southern Illinois families for years to come!
